Recently, I have been hearing people in Harari media saying "Alum Huquf" for " World wide"?

"Alum Aqef" is Amharic

Say " Adugne dumum"

Do you know the meaning of "Al Magan"?

Everybody knows the meaning of Alla Magan in Harari, which is "Thank you" in English or "Shukran" in Arabic. But do we know where the word "Magan" is driven form. Based on my best knowlage
"Magan" is a Somali word which means "Mercy" in English and "Rahma" in Arabic. The word "Alla Magan" is equivanlent to the Allah's Mercy.

Nigat, you seem to now a lot about the origine of words in harari language. are you, at any time thinking of coming up with a Harari dictionary? if not why dont you think about it. I think we need one.

I know few. I will leave the setting up of dictionary to others.

Here is one more word "Makhmakha"

Every body know what does it mean in Harari. But in Somali it is Maahmah. Who took from who I don't know?
